I remember that dinner very well! What a pleasure to reconnect! And I'd love to hear your feedback as we go along. You're so right that as one ages things synthesize in one's mind, and sometimes even blind alleys you ran down years ago, end up being the puzzle pieces that complete another picture. If that makes sense. I joked to my husband the other night that I might one day write an essay (the Kat Rosenfeld essay on her cancelation experience had me thinking of this) titled, "The Life I Built on the Corpses of Dead Dreams." Ha ha ha.
I'm glad you can say that with a laugh! Are your dead dreams like mine where half are nightmares you're so glad God woke you from, but the other half were truly good and beautiful dreams. I think “Leaf by Niggle” should be compulsory reading for everyone over 40.

I love this idea for your book. Many may say Christianity is dead, but I am not ready to concede defeat - call it stubbornness, call it the hard-won birth of hope through much struggle, call it what you will. As long as the pulse of Christianity still beats, however faint it may be, there is life and there is hope!
